You can take out the foreign health insurance at any time before the start of the trip – the first day of the trip is at the same time the date of commencement of the insurance. The insurance ends on the last day of the trip.

Who is eligible for insurance?

The following are eligible for insurance if at the time the contract is entered into they are below the age of 39 and are staying abroad temporarily. Abroad does not include Austria or the state territory where you have a place of residence at the point of application.
