Young Travel health insurance for foreign guests

With Young Travel travel insurance, you enjoy insurance cover not only in Austria. It applies to temporary travel from Austria to the EU, the Schengen states, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City.

Young Travel insurance is suitable for foreign guests up to their 39th birthday who are temporarily staying in Austria or the Schengen states. They must not be subject to compulsory health insurance in the destination country (e.g. as an employee subject to social security contributions). Please note that the rates are staggered for people up to their 29th birthday and up to their 39th birthday.

With both plans for a Young Travel insurance policy, you are comprehensively protected as a foreign guest in Austria or the Schengen states. However, with the Premium plan, you will be reimbursed more costs in some cases. Example: We cover pain-relieving dental treatments up to € 250 per year in the Carefree plan, and 100% of the costs in the Premium plan. Another great advantage of the Premium plan is that you also benefit from travel liability and travel accident insurance. Deductible costs are only incurred on a pro rata basis in the travel liability insurance. In cases of damage to rented property and deportation costs, the deductible is 20 % (minimum € 50) per insured event. In cases of damage to the host family's household, professional liability and loss of receivables, a deductible of 10 %, or a minimum € 200, will be deducted from the determined amount of damage.
