Travel health insurance for Non-EU Residents

With health insurance, you are well covered as a foreign guest and not only in Austria. This insurance cover also applies to temporary travel from Austria to other European Schengen states, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican City.

You can claim health insurance for foreign guests if you are staying in Austria and if you are not subject to compulsory health insurance in the destination country (e.g. as an employee subject to social insurance). The insurance cover also applies to temporary travel from Austria to other European Schengen states.

If you have to fulfil a visa requirement for your trip to Austria or the Schengen states, we recommend the Premium plan. With this, you additionally benefit from travel liability insurance (especially deportation costs) and travel accident insurance.

In cases of damage to rented property and deportation costs, a deductible of 20 %, at least € 50, will be deducted from the determined amount of damage. In cases of damage to the host family's household, professional liability and loss of receivables, deductible costs of 10%, minimum € 200, apply.
