Within 3 working days after booking the trip
Each insurance contract that includes cancellation protection insurance or excess insurance must be taken out no later than the 3rd working day (Monday - Saturday) after booking the trip (booking date + 3 working days). If the insurance is taken out later, insurance cover is only available for events that occur from the 10th day after taking out the insurance ("waiting period").
Depending on the plan you choose
With the Premium plan for your cancellation and travel protection insurance, you do not have to expect any deductible costs. In the Carefree plan, a deductible of 20% applies to medical expenses abroad without submission to the private/social insurance.
Conditions for families
Insure yourself as a family and benefit from particularly favourable conditions. A family is defined as a maximum of 2 adults and accompanying children up to the age of 21, irrespective of their relationship. In this family plan, you can insure up to 7 persons in total.
After a maximum of 31 days
You can take out cancellation and travel protection for up to 31 days. An extension of your travel protection is possible up to a maximum of 366 days. To do this, you can take out Carefree or Premium travel protection separately for the remaining duration of your trip.
A maximum of € 10,000 per person/family

A holiday must be planned early enough. But especially if you book your trip some time in advance, things can still come up between now and the start of the trip and you may have to stay at home.
