Travel health insurance for young people

Young Travel international health insurance is suitable for au pairs, students, scholarship holders, language students, doctoral students and people travelling on a Work & Travel basis who are planning a longer stay abroad. The maximum age for the insurance is 39 years.

You can take out the international health insurance for young people at any time before you start your stay abroad. Please note, however, that the rates are staggered for people up to their 29th birthday and for people up to their 39th birthday.

You can apply for follow-up insurance policy before the end of the agreed expiry date. However, it is a prerequisite that the total insurance period does not exceed 364 days. If you end your stay abroad prematurely, you can also terminate your contract earlier. To do this, send us written notification within 31 days of your departure date. The contract ends upon receipt of your notification by us.

If you need medical treatment during your stay abroad and have to go to hospital, for example, you are comprehensively protected with Young Travel international health insurance. After the underlying event for a claim has occurred, fill out the travel health insurance claim form and return it to us as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can also report your claim online using our online claim form If we require further documents than those requested in the form, we will contact you.
